Artwork Speaking for Homeless LGBTQ Youth: Invisible—Samantha Box and Alexis Handwerker/The Hear Me ROAR! Project. | According to the U.S. government, the number of homeless and runaway youth ranges from 575,000 to 1.6 million. Out of that number, it is conservatively estimated that between 20 and 40 percent of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ. Your Holiday Mom provides support during a lonely season for these rejected young people.
For the past two centuries, Americans have fought for equal rights; we have fought to have rights no matter our race, our gender, our nationality, or our religion. Today we must continue that fight for equal rights, no matter who we love, what gender we are, where we are from, or what we believe.
Here at One Equal World, we want to continue and strengthen the conversation around human rights; we want to contribute to the cause through news, articles, discussion, and support. With a focus on LGBT and women's rights, we're striving to make a difference in the world.
We are still a growing community, but we are proud, we are here, and we’re not going anywhere. We believe in one equal world, and we will fight for it.
